The ECS Time-based Control System achieves substantial energy cost savings by ensuring that lights are only on when and where required.

Time schedules, programmed into an Area Control Unit (ACU) are used to switch lights ‘off’ in zones. A simple 50% switching setup will ensure that no employee in the facility is left in total darkness. Localised manual override switches are provided throughout the facility to provide lighting control to after hour workers.

A number of addressable decoders throughout the facility receive time schedules from the ACU and switch the load accordingly. Due to its addressable feature, different levels and different rooms within levels can be switched according to separate time schedules according to occupancy.
