With
so many innovative energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction projects,
how much has ECS saved over the years? Good question.
In order to keep you updated on the good work we are doing, we've
devised an interesting way of keeping you all informed.
You may have noticed black balloons floating up in the animation
on our website. The black balloon concept was originally part of
the ‘You
have the power. Save Energy’ campaign by Sustainability
Victoria to raise awareness of greenhouse gas emissions.

Every black balloon represents 50 grams of greenhouse gas. To
put that into perspective, every Victorian household produces over
12 tonnes (240,000 balloons) of greenhouse gas emissions each year.
ECS has significantly contributed to reducing the output of greenhouse
gas emissions. Our data shows that over the past 5 year, ECS has
contributed a total saving of 4,382 million black balloons, or 219,108
tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. One can only imagine what the
total savings have been over the 25 year history of ECS. Just imagine
the savings over the next 25.

Victoria website.
